Lawley Mascot

We are delighted to introduce to you the brand-new Lawley Mascot and give you the opportunity to be involved in giving it an official name. The mascot for Lawley is a mole and a miner, to celebrate the area’s industrial heritage and links with local mining communities. The mascot was funded by the Lawley Partnership Board as a community led project and is available for visits to community events and groups.

My Story

My friends at Lawley Partnership Board are working hard to make Lawley the best place to live in Telford, and they thought I could help. At the recent Celebrating Lawley event we invited members of the community to suggest some names for me. Following the public vote, I was officially named "Mawley" the Mole from Lawley.
